Engagement Hub: Art in Action

February - August 2025
Collaboration with IMMA and Superprojects

Our latest project, which we’re delighted to have partnered on with Irish Museum of Modern Art and Superprojects, is Engagement Hub: Art in Action. The programme offers practical advice and training to Angelica artists, to help them to develop their practice towards engagement with children and young people.

In early February, we held a mini-conference, focusing on some best practice examples of connecting young audiences with contemporary art and artists. We then sought applications from Angelica artists based in Dublin city or county to participate in a hands-on training workshop, which took place at IMMA last week. Artists selected for this phase will now enter a mentorship period, where they will receive ongoing support to refine and implement their own educational projects.

We are pleased to announce that the selected artists are:
Scheider Gwei
Silvina Sisterna
Clodagh Boyce

And their mentors are:
Jinny Ly
Rachel Doolin
Marianne Balfe

Throughout summer 2025, the three selected artists will implement their ideas by delivering paid workshops to IMMA’s young visitors.

Huge thanks to this project’s funders, An Roinn Leanaí, Comhionannais, Míchumais, Lánpháirtíochta agus Óige
The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, through the Ireland Against Racism Fund.
Thanks too to our collaborators, supporters and friends in bringing this opportunity to life: the IMMA Engagement & Learning team, particularly Melissa Ndakengerwa, Superprojects: Rayne Booth and Giulia Berto, and all of those who are participating as artists and as mentors.
